At this meeting, we’ll give you a list of documents that you will need to provide us and client data sheets to complete.
Engagement and information gathering meeting
Review and sign all necessary forms, collect all your completed documents, and establish a payment schedule for our agreed-upon fee. Then, we review your primary concerns, current and future desires, and most pressing financial issues.
Comprehensive analysis
Perform an in-depth review of all your documents and create an easy to understand report showing your current-year financial status, along with income and net worth projections for the future.
Findings, options and report delivery meeting
Ongoing support
We provide continued encouragement and financial expertise. We will schedule additional meetings, as needed until your divorce is finalized. Document preparation by a family law attorney legal specialist.
WHAT IS A CDFA®?
A Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA®) specializes in the financial issues surrounding divorce. A CDFA® can act as a financial neutral/mediator for you and your spouse or, if you can’t resolve your issues without attorneys, the CDFA® can work as an advocate on your divorce team, providing financial analysis and support to your case. A CDFA® uses his or her knowledge of tax law, asset distribution, and short and long-term divorce planning to achieve an equitable settlement.
