The Financial Benefits of Shopping Early for Christmas Gifts
Planning Christmas in July? It’s not as crazy as you may think! Andrew Hatherley gives advice on the financial benefits of getting your holiday shopping and Christmas gifts done early.
By shopping early you can take advantage of great summer sales, and you can also avoid racking up a big balance on your credit card bill at the end of the year. If you are newly single, or a newly single parent, thinking ahead for Christmas holds excellent financial rewards and also emotional ones. If this is your first holiday season “on your own” thinking ahead can minimize any additional uncomplimentary emotional stress. Avoid lines, crowds, endless Christmas songs on loop, and instead, spend more time with your loved ones, traveling, or starting new traditions. Enjoy the holidays by having one less thing to worry about, save more of your own money and spend time the way you want to (not in line.)
